Our Instructors
Stephanie
-Owner-
Stephanie is from Rustburg, VA. She first discovered dance fitness while in college at VCU. Zumba was Stephanie's first love, and she was an instructor for 3 years before developing her own dance fitness style. She taught Hip Hop Cardio, Dance2Fit, and Zumba prior to opening The Vibe Studio in 2018.
Stephanie currently teaches a variety of Pole and Dance Fitness classes at VIBE. She is a Pole Fitness Alliance certified Pole Instructor, NASM certified Stretching & Flexibility Coach, and a PoleStrong Strength & Conditioning Specialist. When she is not at the studio, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family. She loves iced coffee, true crime shows, and pizza from almost anywhere.
Susan
-Hella Heels Instructor-
Susan comes to us by way of Cincinnati, Ohio. When she’s not at the studio, she can be found hanging out with her cat Felix, plant shopping, or eating pizza. Susan started dancing when she was in elementary school. Over the years, she has studied ballet, tap, and jazz. She is very excited for the opportunity to continue sharing her love for her dance and to add a new style to her repertoire. You can find her in the pole studio, improving her tricks skills and teaching Hella Heels classes.
Caitlyn
-Pole Level 2 Instructor-
Caitlyn is from Lynchburg, VA. She discovered pole fitness while living in Kansas and has been enjoying it since 2019. She teaches general pole classes but also loves teaching specialized pole classes, such as Throwin’ Bows, Aerial Transitions, and more.
Aside from poles Caitlyn works in Gastroenterology and has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with future aspirations of attending medical school. When not at work or the pole studio, you can find her at the gym working on her strength or at home relaxing with her fur babies. Caitlyn is excited to join the Vibe Tribe and contribute to the empowering experience The Vibe Studio creates!
Mercedes
-Pole Instructor-
Mercedies was born and raised in the mountains of Idaho. Then after spending several years in Montana, she and her husband moved to Virginia. When she isn’t at the studio, Mercedies can be found hiking, camping and doing anything in the water. She has a passion for performance and has spent most of her time jumping on a stage. At the studio, you'll find her doing TikToks and teaching BootyCamp!
Jessy
-Yoga Instructor-
Jessy rolled the dice, trading Dallas for Lynchburg in 2021. While yoga’s been a part of her life since she was 15, her first official in person class was in 2019 - at a climbing gym, of all places! Now 500RYT, E-200RYT, and YACEP certified, Jessy blends her mental health background with her passion for movement. When she’s not teaching Vibe & Flow, you’ll find her crafting, sipping smoothies, playing tabletop games, or exploring the trails (sometimes with her cat). Come flow with Jessy and discover the good vibes!
Brittany
-Dance Fitness Instructor-
Brittany is from Rustburg, VA. She has always been active in sports and after high school she wanted to find a way to stay active that wasn't the traditional gym setting. She began dance fitness in 2021 and hasn't stopped since! When she is not at the studio she can be found at work as a cosmetologist, with her family and friends, at home with her dog or traveling! Brittany loves pole class, making TikToks and organizing!
Savannah
-Dance Fitness Instructor-
Savannah was born in Kentucky before moving to Lynchburg in 2013. Since then she found her passion in sideline cheer, which she participated in for eight years, and competition cheer, where she spent seven years. After high school she began work in the service and hospitality industry, finding a love for the Downtown Lynchburg area, which is where friends and fellow instructors introduced her to The Vibe Studio. Dance Fitness and Twerk Out reinvigorated her true ocnfidence and background, which she is now so ecsthatic to share and build with her fellow tribe and community! Her positivity is infectious and she promises to always be LOUD!
Kate
-Pole Instructor-
Kate is a South Carolinian living in Virginia with her beautiful, blended family. She has been dancing ballet since she was 3 and performing in major productions as a “La Petite” company member of Ron Jones Academy of Ballet and Crosby School of Dance. Since dance, Kate has found a love for running and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She, her husband, and kiddos train consistently between two gyms in the area and compete when it feels right. Kate started pole at the Vibe Studio after seeing another BJJ friend taking classes for cross training and had to try it out! Kate is closing on her second year taking pole classes and is officially hooked to the creative fitness that is empowering women in Lynchburg!
Lee
-Owner-
Lee was born and raised in Northern, New Jersey but has called Lynchburg home since 2010. Raised by a family of musicians, she's had a passion for music, especially hip hop and r&b for as long as she can remember. She loves challenging herself to try new things and has gotten really into snowboarding, hiking, camping/road tripping, thrifting and now Dance Fitness! Since the first day she found dance fitness at The Vibe, she has been beyond obsessed! The Vibe has helped immensely with her mental health and confidence. She always looks forward to going to class because of the positive energy and the encouraging community you can find there. When away from the studio, you can find her running her fashion resale business!
Lyndsay
-Dance Fitness & Booty Camp Instructor-
Lyndsay is from Lynchburg, and she loves dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She started attending Dance Fitness in 2019 at The Vibe Studio to lose a little weight and she was absolutely hooked from the first class! At The Vibe, she's gained accountability, a community of like-minded women, self love/confidence, and lost over 50 pounds. Lyndsay has been dancing her whole life, starting in Tap and continued on into competition Cheer. She's trained at UVA and Virginia Tech dance camps as well as different dance studios around Lynchburg. You'll find her doing TikToks and in Dance Fitness classes all week long!
Megan
-Pole Instructor-
Megan was born in Philadelphia, PA, raised in Bedford County, VA and attended college at the University of Lynchburg. When she's not working out or at her day job, you can find her hanging out with her husband and daughters! They love being outside and finding new adventures to get into! You can find her in the pole room most days and in her Pole 0 level classes!
Raven
-Twerk Out & Grown and Sexy Instructor-
Raven was born in Lynchburg and raised in Long Island, VA. She loves dance so much, she decided to form her passion into a small business (LLC) M.A.K. - Motivate and Kreate is a creative company that denotes dancing as a healing mechanism. M.A.K. will prove that the expression of dance can cultivate confidence and self-awareness. She has taught dance for pageants, cheerleading, step team, and many more in the last 9 years. Her preference of dance is Hip Hop and Grown & Sexy! When she dances, she feels assertive and unrestricted, which has brought her to love herself beyond measure, and once that music comes on, the rest is history. In her free time, her enjoys writing poetry and music, her artist name is Ravebaee - it's sort of an alter ego. Raven is thrilled for this opportunity and can't wait to witness the confidence boost you'll obtain from her TwerkOut class!
Courtney
-Beginner Heels Instructor-
Courtney is a military brat who has settled in Lynchburg. Dance has been her passion her whole life since she began taking lessons at 3 years old. Before moving to Lynchburg, she performed with and choreographed for a pre-professional ballet company. Her main training has been in pallet, pointe, and jazz and she has absolutely fallen in love with pole dance. She has gained so much strength and confidence with each class and is excited to share that with others in her Hella Heels class! Outside of the dance studio, she also enjoys writing, crochet, and Dungeons and Dragons.
Molly
-Dance Fitness Instructor-
Molly was born and raised in northern Illinois before moving to Virginia in 2009 for college. Throughout her childhood and adolescence, Molly was enrolled in all styles of dancing. She was a member of the dance team in school and found her true passion to be in hip-hop dance. Molly first tried The Vibe Studio in 2019 after having her 2nd child. She was able to find community, a boost in confidence, and finally started feeling like herself again, aside from mothering. Since attending Vibe, Molly has grown to love each and every class she has tried! The uplifting space and club atmosphere, paired with amazing people who attend Vibe has kept Molly coming back for years. When not working out, she can be found with her husband raising her 3 kiddos, loving on animals, enjoying the outdoors, or cuddled on the couch with a good book.
Eli
-Pole Instructor-
Eli is from Tampa, Florida and moved to Lynchburg at 16 when her family decided to escape the heat. After graduating, she missed playing sports and staying active, but everything changed when she discovered The Vibe Studio. This studio jump-started Eli’s fitness journey and introduced her to pole fitness, which has become a significant part of her life and identity. She firmly believes in the saying “practice makes progress” and values consistency as the key for growth. In addition to pole fitness, Eli enjoys lifting at the gym to keep building strength. When not at the studio or gym, she bartends and creates crafted cocktails. Some of her signature drinks include the “Rum and Roses,” “Summer Lullaby,” and a killer espresso martini.
Jessica
-Pilates Instructor-
Jessica was born in upstate New York and later moved to Lynchburg. She graduated from Sweet Briar College with a B.S. in Biology in 2008 and worked in healthcare until her oldest was born. As a stay at home mom to three children she realized she hadn’t prioritized herself. This is where her love of fitness was born. After a few years of participating in Pilates and other types of fitness classes she decided to teach. She has been an AFPA certified Pilates instructor since 2019. After hitting a slump after Covid she found Vibe and fell back in love with fitness and wants to be apart of bringing that joy to others. When she’s not teaching she’s hanging out with her 3 kiddos and husband. Hiking, biking, hoarding plants and drinking way too much iced coffee.
